Hey guys, guess what? We’re not dead. Nor has a bot taken over posting our Instagram stuff here instead of real updates. But it’s been a hard year and I nearly forgot that we had a blog. Even our Instagram isn’t being updated very regularly. I’m sorry for that. I’m trying to do better. Really.
So here’s a post that will run down our latest projects, let you know where things are and how they are going and hopefully, it won’t be the only one for months.
The Parliament of Twilight series
If you’ve been following along for the last couple years, you’d know that this is our flagship series. The first four books are out and available basically everywhere.
And as for the next books in the series, we’ve got Episode 5 with our editor and are expecting it back soon. Once I’ve seen what needs to be fixed, I can project a release date that is hopefully going to be this year.
Episodes 6 and 7 are written, and that completes the set of story lines we’re calling Season One of the series. These two books will be off to the editor sometime in September as long as I keep up my current work pace, and we should be able to announce release dates for those two books before the end of the year.
We are currently outlining Episode 8 and making notes about the next books that will make up Season 2.
The rumored BDSM MM Romance Super Hero series
It’s not that much of a rumor if you’ve been watching our Facebook or Instagram. I’ve been talking about this new project pretty much since we began working on it back in March. This will be an entirely new set of characters in an entirely new world. There are heavy themes of BDSM, older main characters than we normally do (much of the cast is in their late 30s to mid 50s rather than being 20-somethings), and fucking super powers! The relationships are complicated, the characters beautifully flawed, and we hope that our readers love them at least half as much as we do!
Currently we have finished the first drafts of the first 3 books of the series and are working hard on the 4th. As of right now, our tentative outlining has the series projected to last 6 books. That’s a lot less than the 21 we have the Parliament of Twilight outlined to be. We’re expecting that these books won’t be visiting with our editor until around the holidays/end of the year, so release dates will most certainly be in 2020. But we’re so excited to share this one, we might fast track book 1.
What about that Dragon Shifter thing?
That’s still a thing. I promise. We just got through our first beta read with it, and now it’s into the editing cycle! I have to give it another pass or two, then I’m going to be coordinating with our editing team about when we can fit it into the schedule.
This one is a little bit different from what we’ve been working on. While the Parliament of Twilight and our up coming super hero series have been self-pubbed, we are looking at possibly submitting this dragon shifter novel to a publishing house. That’s a decision we will be making later, once the manuscript is finished. A part of that decision will be based on the fact that we can easily see 4 more books to round out this world, so finding a publisher that will either buy the whole series or leave us with the rights to publish more of this series on our own will be key.
